Many of you will have seen I tipped this player in CHINA, he finished 76th after obviously not feeling it but that was on the back of sound placings of 14th in China the week before on the back of an excellent 3rd in INDIA.

He sits in 12th in SG OFF the TEE and he actually has avery good Approach game around the Greens where he sits tall in the pecking order @ 4th with +1.15 strokes gained per round.

He only sits behind leader EUGENIO CHACARRA who is absolutley ripping it up of late and of course another player we know well in LI HAOTONG who has won for us recently.

Even Putting sees LUITEN sit a comfortable 26th, many players may have skills OFF the TEE but have a poorer game around the Greens & vice versa,It is difficult to find players who sit top 20 in all TOP Skills of the game, LUITEN is better measured overall IMO.

It is why I am sticking with him, At 39 yrs of age I think the veteran who has already won 6 x Events on this tour can add to the tally.

By sitting high in significant stats he is showing me is is up for the challenge still. We can always excuse 1 off week, 3 or 4 NO.

Currently ranked #1 in DRIVING Accuracy @ 76.8% he is also sitting in 21st for GIR (Greens in Regualtion) with 70%, this is good as the Tour avg is in 62% which is quite low so far in 2025.

A stat he really has improved so well is he sits #2 behind SHAUN NORRIS on Total SG, Strokes Gained with +1.87 strokes per round, it is the very important stat to focus on.

Of all the 5 events he did card 13 x Rounds under 70 from 21 rounds, this is important to me as I like players that can card consistently 66 to 67s, that is in 60% of his rounds completed.

He will Tee off after 29 groups so we will see if playing in the middle group offers any advantages.
