Event Analysis

This week we are selecting 5 x Players TO WIN ONLY.

With just 2 x Tournaments remaining before qualifying for this year’s European Ryder Cup team reaches a conclusion, the action switches to Scandinavia and the Danish Championship.

This will be the 6th of 9 tournaments staged in Continental Europe this season, with this week’s event hosted by Furesø Golf Club, which is located approximately 12 miles north of Copenhagen city centre.

Furesø, which is a traditional parkland course with many Nordic environmental features, is a 27-hole complex that was opened in 3 stages between 1979 and 1996.

Some features of the course are:

Sections of all three 9 hole loops will be used to create a composite course for this week’s tournament.

The venue has undergone various renovations over the years, with Furesø earning a reputation for firm, fast greens, along with its many small ponds.

The general landscape of Furesø is that of medium-hilly terrain, which is reflected in its reasonably sloping fairways and undulating putting surfaces.

If you get the chance, tune in on one of the many streaming services as this is a beautiful course.

Of the 5 x Players we have stuck with a few home-grown locals who have been recently on PGA and I have included 1 roughie in the 5.

It is entirely up to you if you wish to cover your plays in OTHER MARKETS, we will only be resulting in the WIN only so regardless the event will cost us $5 (staking is = to your Multiplier).

The example is stake = $10 so 5 Players will cost you $50 for the 4 days.

STAKING: At PGT, we apply a strict and consistent staking strategy to every tip we publish. All published results on our site are calculated on the basis of one (1) unit per tip, unless otherwise stated. The actual dollar value of a unit (if any) is determined by each individual — it may be for a no-value bet with a friend, or $5 or $50. This methodology is for record-keeping and educational purposes only and is not a recommendation to bet or to bet in any particular way.
Competitor Tip Type Odds Units Result Rationale
Eugenio Chacarra Win 55-1 1.00 LOSS

This Spaniard rocketed up the R2DR (Race to Dubai) rankings when he won @ The HERO Indian Open in Late March 2025.

He has been in positives figures in 4 of his 10 events since the Win.

I had to include his 100th in Scotland along with his 154th the week before in the BMW International Open, you may ask why am I tipping him?

He has glimpses of brilliance that I see in one of my fav young Players in KEITA NAKAJIMA and he has carded a 64 & 64 @ The ITALIAN OPEN (he finished with -8), he went 66 & 68 @ the AUSTRIAN Open & 2 really good days @ SOUDAL OPEN which has franked the form numerous times in PGA events.

I have been watching him & I am certain he will appreciate the big course here and not the narrow fairways with tricky bunkers on approach.

He does sit a a high 67% GIR, Isay high as it is DPWT where the tour avg is 64.80% Grenns in Regulation, he picks up strokes with the Putter on Avg 1.75 strokes per round.

Not known as a bit driver of the ball (less than 290 yards) you have to be hitting at least +300 he does make up with it being very accurate with the driver and sits @ #42 of all DP Tour players.

Like Olesen he can start fast, I watched highlights only of last weeks DP event in Scotland, not sure if we can use that as any ref, it was a sholer all around.

There is a reason he is only $55.

He is due to appear back on the leadeboard, WARNING though he has to put 4 decent days together, he can be hot and cold but is a talent who will only get better. This Spaniard rocketed up the R2DR (Race to Dubai) rankings when he won @ The HERO Indian Open in Late March 2025.

Francesco Molinari Win 150-1 1.00 LOSS

Oh the Italianos can be a frustrating country to follow, PAVAN has let me down numerous times and as for Matteo Manassero who nearly shocked us not long ago, he did actually hit the other fairway twice in the event leading up to that, honestly me blindflded would do a better job.

He hit something like 12 of 48 fairways.

Anyway I threw FRANSESCO in as I watched a few interviews with him around May & he was T24 in the US Open Qualifier which they play 2 to 3 days of Golf in 1.

Then several days later was the SOUDAL Open, you coud see it burnt a few of the older players out, with this Italian one of them, he still went -4 and -2, nothing major I know but he has 6 x Wins on DPWT & he is aplayer that can regularly shoot 67 & 68.

He aslo has already proven himself on the PGA Tour with 3 x 1sts and a host of placings including 28 x Top 10s from 225 events only.

That will go along way here and he is another that comes very fresh into this (Northern Ireland) was his last event on the 20th July, he actually played all 4 days.

There is still fight in this 42 yr old & my most recent interview of him in Early July he was SUPER KEEN to get involved in this part of the European swing.

We want to see him hang in there no more than 3 to 4 shots off the leaders, the course suits his style of play.

Betfair @ $150 is fair considering his 9 wins (3 x PGA) but he has been out of form (results wise) I am playing based on instinct-gut feel. Nicolai Hojgaard Win 15-1 1.00 LOSS

I tipped Nicolai when he palyed @ GENESIS Open in Scotland and he finished strong with a-8 on Day 4.

The result was a T4 @ -12, HIS final day 64 was the 2nd best Day of that event, only beteered by guess who??????

JUSTIN BLOODY ROSE who shot a final 63, The rest is hostory but that franks the form HUGELY for this home event, There is no reason he will NOT PLAY WELL in front of his home crowd.

In fact it is proven the HOJGAARD twins play better in Europe where Nicolai has 4x 1sts & RASMUS has 5 x International Wins, I prefer NICOLAI.

Nicolai can lean on his greatest attribute which is his Agression & his youth but around the greens he can pick up strokes with his Putter ( very lethal) but he is one of those players that is very strong & reliable OTT.

If he can stay pace with Thorbjorn Olesen he can hit the gas on Day 3. OLESEN has this habit of firing out of the gates which we have seen him do in both DPWT events and most recently on PGA.

Betfair Win @ $15.

I will see if I can get matched at few points over that. I tipped Nicolai when he palyed @ GENESIS Open in Scotland and he finished strong with a-8 on Day 4.

Rasmus Hojgaard Win 17-1 1.00 LOSS

Rasmus I will not go into too much depth as I am sure the TWINS do not like to be compared but it is a competitive sport so hard not to.

RASMUS is a little out of form of late but he does come into this ather fresh as he was last seen in action when T16 @ OPEN in Northern Ireland, it was his best result for a while finishing -7.

As advised I always prefer NICOLAI but it would be OF NO GREAT SURPRISE if the twins are duking this out.

RASMUS did win this event back in 2022.

Of note the only DANE to win, alot happens in 3 years, this is the best chance since.

Thorbjorn Olesen Win 21-1 1.00 LOSS

Olesen has been burning uo the grass on PGA recently with very good results.

At the 3M Open he led after 36 holes with a brillian 62 on Day 1, followed by a 66, his final Day 4 which was a 73 meant he was not going to be in the finish, he ended up in T14 in a deep strong field.

He had a T5 @ VALERO & a T7 @ Mytle Beach another very deep field and we cannot ignore this tall Dane as he actually did finish T33 @ The PGA.

Back in DPWT comoany this 9 x International Winner, tells you how well he can play and his efforts in the PGA have been terrific overall.

Back on home soil IF HE COMES out swinging which is his style and gets traction, he could be the 36 hole leader, its the final 18 holes which is his hurdle here.

His srongest attribute is his PUTTER and like mst of the DPWT clan that invade the PGA he is good OTT and actually is avery +70% GIR (greens in Regulation).

Betfair Win @ $21

I accept the odds only because he generally starts in the wekaer PGA events between $90 to $120 so back on the DP tour its fair enough @ $21. Olesen has been burning uo the grass on PGA recently with very good results.
